I am hoping someone would have a Melbourne Directory for around the period 1888-1890. I really don't know if one exists or not, but I am hoping to locate the name Jenks, probably within the area of Richmond. Almina, (Mina) Jenks and son Henry Jenks were art teachers in the USA. They came here in 1888 and I am trying to find out if they continued with their teaching here. I have a copy of a flyer they put out in the States showing this joint teaching venture. regards Denise
Hi Denise I know there is the Baillieres but In not sure if it goes after 1868, LaTrobe library has a large list of Melbourne Directory. Also the voting lists although not compulsory then alot still voted these are also in Latrobe. Thanks Kerry. I have about enough queries now to get my 'helper' in Melbourne to dig them up for me now. He would know if I could find these. regards Denise ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kerry" <kerryb@austarnet.com.au> To: <AUS-VIC-HIGH-COUNTRY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, September 19, 2004 9:54 PM Subject: Re: [HC] Directories > Hi Denise I know there is the Baillieres but In not sure if it goes after > 1868, LaTrobe library has a large list of Melbourne Directory.
