Hi Malcolm I was raised in Myrtleford, hence know a bit about the area. Re * Was the town of Buckland where the cemetery is today? There was no actual town of Buckland, only a mining settlement but not a town. * In relation to the cemetery, where would "Lower Flat, Buckland" have been (ie down by the creek or downstream or....)? When you leave Porepunkah and travel a few kilometers past the farms and then over the bridge on the river you are then in Lower Buckland near the cemetery. Upper Buckland is much further up where the Beveridges used to live. * I have a reference to a burial at "Joss House Hill" - can anyone describe where this is/was in relation to the cemetery or other features in the valley? I have never heard of this but wouldn't be surprised if it is another name for the chinese cemetery there. I went up the valley past the cemetery, through "Twelve Mile" as far as the Junction. * Was the town of Buckland where the cemetery is today? * In relation to the cemetery, where would "Lower Flat, Buckland" have been (ie down by the creek or downstream or....)? * I have a reference to a burial at "Joss House Hill" - can anyone describe where this is/was in relation to the cemetery or other features in the valley?
