    3. Hi Denise, Perhaps the clue lies with the other child? And the other dumb suggestion - I guess you've tried all possible variations of her name on Google - just in case - (I just found another one there the other day). 3. HI Wendy The other child - tried her in the Census in US - no mother mentioned. However another letter has come to light which shows my subject in Stirling (where is the question) in 1877 - still no closer really to my 1880 query. I checked the shipping in 1878 and she's not there with her son either, only in 1888. A gap of 11 years. Where were you ALmina? 3. Hi Denise, Try Stirling in Scotland, West Australia and South Australia, or Alberta, Ontario in Canada, and California - and hope they spelt it right! Did they dot the I?? I'd go for the California option. Otherwise Sterling in Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, Nebraska, Minnesota, Michigan, Massachusetts, Kansas, Illinois, Idaho, Georgia, and Colorado. I just went right through the UK and North American road atlases for you. Good luck! Almina will turn up, I know.
