Hi Paul I just about went around the bend with this one - then I got onto Google today and found the answer (in other words I'm not the only silly mug around). The Sent Items box was apparently full up so I compacted it then I could delete from all boxes again. I'm still working on it....... Apparently it only takes one of the mailboxes to fill up and it stalls - but you don't get a warning. So in future I'll try and keep the house clean!!!
