    3. Simon, What sort of information on Foster and Vinge are you after? I saw bits and pieces on the firm in the OMA and I think I copied one or two of them. Tracing the coaching lines is a tricky business, they merged, closed down, bought out others, making it hard to follow at times, other times they just disappeared. It was George Foster wasn't it? I've had a letter from a researcher/author of years ago, mentioning Michael Connolly being a partner with James Green. Hiram's second partner was Michael Connolly, but I don't know if one and same. Michael (of Crawford) was Irish and took horses to India before joining C and C, but don't know when/howlong he was in Beechworth before joining Crawfords. Not gone down this track this far. It's jolly hard sorting them out from up here, but it's confusing! I've replied privately about another interest or two.
