Yes Ronda - I think it is likely - mine had parent of William John , who was called John and Mary ann (nee Priestley had died in 1899. May account for why I was unable to find a marriage record - he probably got married in Qld. I did notice in the nominal roll that a James Alexander McCullough of Queensland was killed in action, but in the awards area it had different parent names - can't remember what - the mother was Isabelle I think. Must ask Densise where we look up Qld marriages.
