Hi Would someone be able to tell me if there is a Register of Christenings for the Beechworth area & who might have them. I am not sure what Religion he would Christened as. We are spending a few days in Beechworth next week & are hoping to do a little research while there. What we are looking for is a Christening of a Francis Martell who was born 8 Jane 1859 at Sebastopol to Francis Martell & Anne Trimble nee Norton. (Illegitimate) So far we have not found a birth record for him other than is what is in a family bible.
