22.9.1883 Beechworth Grammar under the control of Mr. Goldsworthy securedthe services as classical master Mr. R. T. Mr. G made extensive additions to his private residence and thereby allowing for further number of boarders who would receive a good sound education and the comforts of home. Principal J Goldsworthy, Classical Master R T Hopkins M.A. Classical Moderator, Trinity College Dublin, Jnr. Master J. Cummins (B.A. written on paper in pencil). - NOTE _ while reading thru the papers, in some years I have come across large black sections. These possibly indicate someone has cut out a section of the original paper from which the film was made. I occasionally see pencil marks, ticks, and like the above, a notation. One ad is continually crossed out with a large X thru it. I think the papers filmed are ones from the old library in Beechworth. - Murmungee Sunday school. Rev Mr Mackie visiting.
