    3. Denise, I have a similar situation with private schools. My ggm b 1858 and her sister b 1860, were supposed to have gone to PLC in Melbourne and we presumed that it was Presbyterian Ladies College, but that didn't begin until about 1876. I have photo of them in some sort of uniform, so PLC must have stood for something else. Perhaps there is info somewhere on early private schools.
