Hi folks Just hoping someone will keep an eye out for me please whenever they are looking thru 1874/75/76 papers in Melbourne (i.e. Melbourne papers) for a Teacher of Music named Crawford at the Eastern Arcade Melbourne. I don't want anyone to especially look, thanks, but if you happen to be in the classified sections (g) and see one M Crawford advertising the skills of a teacher, I'd be just delighted to know what it says. For years now I've known that in 1876 a M Crawford was advertising as a Teacher of Music, but I've never come across an ad. Was it my ggmum or the daughter, or someone else? Just so happens the Arcade was the property of Hiram Crawford so the chances are it was one of two. Thanks Denise
Dear Denise, I have seen 'somewhere' fiche which showed copies of early advertisements. Might have been at the local library called ballieres advertisements? Do you have anything like this up north? ..· ´¨¨)) -:¦:- ¸.·´ .·´¨¨)) ((¸¸.·´ ..·´ Mary -:¦:- -:¦:- ((¸¸.·´* ----- Original Message ----- From: "Denise" <denisem@powerup.com.au> To: <AUS-VIC-HIGH-COUNTRY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, August 17, 2004 11:41 PM Subject: [HC] Melbourne papers > Hi folks > > Just hoping someone will keep an eye out for me please whenever they are looking thru 1874/75/76 papers in Melbourne (i.e.
