    3. Seems you have covered all bases Jackie - but is it possible to search just using the date on the cemetry database? Try several dates that are just after the date of death and see if you come up with any that might be her - a spelling variant, familiar first names and so on. Also check the Sun newspaper as it was then - maybe there will be a death notice that gives the place of the funeral and burial. The only other thing I can suggest is look at the entries a couple each side of her death entry in the registers - and see if the database there has been mucked up - eg the details of the burial of B have been "moved up" as if in a spreadsheet to be alongside A's name. Not sure if that can be done by you or if you will have to nicely persuade the people at BDMs. Good luck - I will be interested if you find where she is and how she got "lost". Elizabeth BECHT died 8 July 1942 in Brunswick. According to her death certificate, the burial was registered at Fawkner Cemetery on 9th July. I checked the Cemetery online....she isn't there. Neither is her husband who died in 1963. I decided to phone Fawkner. I've had some wonderful assistance from a lady there. She's checked the database and even went through the old burial register books. She couldn't find any reference even checking variations of spelling of the surname and transposed surnames ie: mother's maiden name, her maiden name etc... She even phoned the mob that have taken over the Funeral Directors and there is no burial registered for Elizabeth BECHT. I've checked Preston General Cemetery, the Necropolis and any others I could find online to no avail. I'm about to phone Melbourne General Cemetery....it's the only other thing I can think of. Does anyone else have any suggestions ??? Jackie QLD
