Ancestry com has free two weeks of searching for passenger ships into New York 1851-1891. Also into Philadelphia. No credit card required!!! http://olivetreegenealogy.com/ancestry/free.shtml I found my guy, only once, and it was the trip I had, including the ship. Couldn't find greatgrandmum or kids in 1867. Must have gone thru another port, so I guess Iwon't give up just yet. After 1867 they used San Fran and went by train across the States I believe. D
