Hi Kerry, Apparently Burke Museum is the custodian of the registers, they were most helpful to me , I asked to go through the Stanley register, It took about 2 hours going through the 1855 - 64 volume, there is another 2 volumes that go to 1916. Decided it was better to fish Lake Buffalo that afternoon, so I will return another day and go through the remainder. Found my GGF made a claim Dec 1861 at Wombat Gully, unfortunately we could not decipher the location, looks like "Paradise" or perhaps "Reservation" Gardens, any clues anyone? cheers Hec -----Original Message----- From: Kerry [mailto:kerryb@austarnet.com.au] Sent: Sunday, 1 January 2006 8:30 PM To: AUS-VIC-HIGH-COUNTRY-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [HC] Buckland Division of the Beechworth Hec Did you notice if they have the Buckland Division of the Beechworth Mining District. Hi Denise, Just tried my own Sands and realised it doesn't work with Windows XP. Seems it needs Netscape 4.5 but this old version of Netscape looks like it isn't compatible with XP. Has anyone come up with an answer to this one? Or can direct a techno peasant in simple language?
