    3. Glenda hi Presbyterian was their religion - I tried the archives at PLC - no reply. The idea of locating this is very daunting...there were private schools in every small town and I found one in a small village in the OMA the other night. Wang had t hem, Albury, B/worth, ...why send them to Melbourne I wonder. You are lucky having a photo of them in uniform. I have a prize of Susan's for the college in St Kilda, and also a list of her achievements at one point. Good marks which to me means something, something that contradicts my aunt's remarks. She would have been about 12 when Susan died so would have remembered her in her latter years only. I also have a photo of Susan in some sort of 'dress uniform'. all white very blousy thing with a black bow/tie . Reminds me for some reason of a musical uniform, and indeed Susan was gifted. Her music remains to this day, some of it signed by composers, so I do believe she was involved in some group. This I can't get around either. 3. Denise, I have a similar situation with private schools. My ggm b 1858 and her sister b 1860, were supposed to have gone to PLC in Melbourne and we presumed that it was Presbyterian Ladies College, but that didn't begin until about 1876. I have photo of them in some sort of uniform, so PLC must have stood for something else. Perhaps there is info somewhere on early private schools. 3. I have not been able to locate this information Ray, both Martha Anna and Emma were in private schools in Melbourne, Susan Crawford in the 80s was at La Rouchle in St. Kilda and Walter C was at Geelong Presbyterian College, in the 80s. Emm and Martha were born 1857 and 55 respectively, were at B/worth school in 1864 and after that I cant locate them.
