    3. Hi everyone, Today I met with two distant cousins - one lives in Qld and the other in NSW. What a time we had - the table was spread with old letters, photos, snippets from Diaries and all manner of very interesting things. During the course of conversation my cousin's wife tells me that her family came from Beechworth and area. One name I have completely forgotten but the other was Woodall/Woodell. Does anyone know this name? Denise

    3. Dawn, in a word NO!!!!!!!!!! pity, but that is the way it is. It is costing over $3000 for Sam and another $4000 for the other 3 to fly over there and accom. etc. Still it will be their holiday too, as they only have access to Sam for 30 minutes each day. Tough but he is classed as an elite athlete whilst in the team and they have to be strong. Sam will be fine but his mother will do it hard. How are things with you? Spent 9 days with Mum, got back last Friday, she is going down fast and also had another fall yesterday. Apparently slipped off the bed but not hurt. Very disoriented though. How is your Mother Dawn? I guess we are in the same boat. Bye now and thanks for your note. 3. From The Rural City of Wangaratta web site - 150th Anniversary celebrations at Wangaratta cemetery The Wangaratta Cemetery Trust is set to celebrate 150 years of service in November. To celebrate this milestone a heritage rotunda is being constructed. The Rotary Club of Appin Park has generously agreed to undertake these works and will be supported by Council finances and Goulburn Ovens Institute of TAFE expertise. In addition to the rotunda a self-guide tour brochure is being developed. This brochure will highlight a number of significant sites within the cemetery and will be available free of charge from the gates of the cemetery. It is expected that this brochure will be available from early November 2004. Leading up to the celebrations at the cemetery, a work for the dole team supplied by CVGT Group Training and Employment has been diligently undertaking maintenance works and restoration in the general section of the cemetery. Activities continuing to be undertaken include the restoration of bushranger Dan Morgan's gravesite, painting, signage works, weed control and mowing. '150 years of trust involvement at the Wangaratta cemetery is significant,' said Mayor and chairperson of the cemetery trust, Cr Irene Grant. 'It is terrific to see the general section of the cemetery being rejuvenated for this historic year. The construction of the new rotunda and release of the self-tour brochure will undoubtedly enhance this historic site and its tourism potential.'
