    3. Hi Carolynne (NZ) if you haven't already got a response I can do lookups for NSW - Wagga Wagga is only a couple of hours drive away too if you need cemetery stuff. Which seems such a waste! So if any one is interested in the names below, I am only too happy to give the entries to them. Thereby saving them the expense of ordering these entries. Births to parents of:- 1866 Thomas Goldie & Ann Moran. James Gerraty & Mary Ann Dunphy. Bartholomew Harrington & Agnes Murphy. Francis Ah Ping & Mary Clifford. 1867 Robert Hall & Jane E. Dunn. Anthony Lam Sim & Mary Ann Mowbray. Thomas Ah Shan (?Ah Shin)& Catherine Harlin. 1868 James Fitzgerald & Margaret Keane. John Hilkerell & Margaret Craddock. 1870 Thomas King & Rebecca Littlejohn. Child of Joseph Patrick Dunphy & Agnes (?Rupert) The various occupations listed are Blacksmiths, Storekeepers, Publicans, Miners. P.S. I've found a possible marriage entry in Wagga Wagga for one of my kin which I need to confirm before I rashly order another certificate! Does anyone do BMD lookups for 1894 in Wagga Wagga, NSW? 3. It must not have been that unusual in those days when one half of the marriage was thousands of miles away from the 'other half'. Chris and I have found quite a number to date of our American subjects who left family and wife and remarried in Australia, or just left them behind and didn't contact them again choosing not to marry either. I have one subject who married in US became a father, came here, married again and had a child, then went back to wife #1, where he stayed put. A descendant of the family in the US, denies this could have happened. But I'm 90% sure he is one and same, unless of course there were two men with exactly the same unusual Christian name, age, occupation (coach driver), mother's name, and in the same area in Victoria, happened to be here. And I can only find one arrival date, not two. The only small difference was the place of birth in the US and those given were not that far apart. He, or one of them, was brother of a well known person in Victoria, and even he has a tale to tell. The things you can unravel when you dig deep enough! It's interesting and a real buzz to unearth these things which were probably buried hopefully never to be seen again. HA! We also have found a few things which we feel require delicate handling for the sake of those who followed. 3. Hi Pamela, The William Lenderyou who visited Melbourne in 1863 was the father of George Lenderyou and husband of Elizabeth Barnicoat/Barnacle, according to a very thorough Lenderyou researcher. The William Lenderyou who married Grace Arthur died in Cornwall either 1863 or 1864. Thanks for your help, this has been the first bigamous marriage I've uncovered. I'm sure that Grace had no idea when she married Gabriel Blewett for the second time in 1865 that she would be found out 140 years later.
