Hi Listers, old & new Main lines - KLIPPEL, LEBNER, REA, REINHARDT, HEGENGA. My maternal KLIPPEL (Ambrosius) a shoemaker in Yack married REA (Mary), the daughter of the publican of the Birds Nest Hotel at Allans Flat. KLIPPEL (paternal) was a musician & 'disappeared' whilst crossing the flooded Mitta river on his way to a dance, his horse, pack & flutina were found on the bank of the river, no trace has ever been found of him. Conrad married HAUSER (Catherine) a nail maker from Germany. LEBNER (Charles) butcher by trade married SCHNEIDER, (Caroline) REINHARDT, (Susan) the daughter of an upholster at Beechworth married HEYENGA (Wilhelm) a storekeeper at Allan's Flat. KLIPPEL x2, LEBNER,& HEYENGA all settled in the Upper Murray area around Corryong. My interest naturally is the Upper Murray district. A 'passion' has been documenting the history of a pioneer cemetery (& its inhabitants) tucked away on a small rise oblivious to most. This is something I started what now seems way back when, but hopefully will see the light again soon. If anyone needs info on the Upper Murray area, happy to help out. Hi Jenny, I am interested in the Worcester family, The family at Dargo still consider themselves as cousins to my mother. Maybe less boring for others to send it via my email address.
