I can't remember now our conclusions, as their were two Wells men married two Ellen Women, Emily Wells I think is the daughter of Fanny Ellen and Frederick Wells, but may have been too young to marry old Billy. I would need to look up my records and notes to refresh my memory. Or get her death certificate. In fact I would have to read it again to refresh this old head, I have too many names in it. At some stage they moved to Livingstone Creek and William worked as a miner. He was killed in a fall of earth in 1859 - his inquest stated his body was lying at the battery at Dry Gully. Mary Ann remarried Thomas Phelan (registered as Whelan) in 1862, I have found registrations for five children. If anyone has cemetery records I would love to know where Mary Ann, William or Thomas are buried. Regards Debbie
