The William in my family was born about 1853 to Sarah JARVIS, MILLER, or GUY, probably in Melbourne or in Gippsland but maybe the Sale, Dargo, Crooked River area where part of the GUY family lived. A key problem is that I don't know what name Sarah was using when William was born, and I haven't been able to turn up a birth under any of the names. > >What do you know about your William Jarvis? Hi Ian I haven't been able to find her birth certificate, but just did a search and found that her mother had her down as Florence Wilkinson Kibbel, born Beechworth (father unknown) 1882, this was the year before Elizabeth Kibbel married William Ede Ellen. Elizabeth's grave is in the Old Myrtleford cemetery and her mother (Margaret Eddington who's mother was Wilkinson) died in Tasmania in 1879. Elizabeth died giving birth in 1889, William Ellen then married into the Jessup's. George Henry Gunson died in Albury in 1958 gives parents as Joseph and Frances, and Florence also died the same year in Albury, parents William Ede Ellen, mother Elizabeth. (I think you have only given me the copies of the photos, would appreciate the family lines, although I do have some info somewhere that my mum gave me) Kerry ----- Original Message ----- From: hillhouse2 To: [email protected] Sent: Saturday, October 29, 2005 7:27 AM Subject: [HC] Ellen/Gunson Kerry I have a Florence Ellen married George Henry Gunson 1906 on a side brach. Hi Ronda, My sister Pamela noticed Eva Tracy of Coburg was Elizabeth Martin's daughter. Trace was a neighbour of ours when we lived in Coburg. Nana Morrell (nee Young), when staying with us, used to visit Trace and apparently Grandfather Morrell used to pull Trace's pigtails when she was a child. A lovely lady - and if someone in the neighbourhood died, the family would always call Trace before the undertaker and she would "lay" them out. Now that's something that has changed over the years and is showing our age ! Thanks for bringing back some lovely memories.
