Hello, I'm new to this list, but not to genealogy, but I need some assistance on what records I may be able to find to discover anything about this person, between 1869 and 1876, who I have good reason to believe may be my gt.grandfather William DODSWORTH. He didn't marry my gt.grandmother, and there is no death record for him in NZ, or anywhere in Australia that I've been able to find. He is NOT William Innes Dodsworth of South Australia, as I've researched him until I'm blue in the face.. but he does belong to others! Melbourne is a place I often visit, so if I'm pointed in the right direction I can undertake research myself on the next trip at the State Library etc. I just need guidelines as to what to look for outside of BMDs.
