Hello list, I am searching for information and/or contact with descendants of Philipp POSEINER, b. 1827 in Germany. Philipp migrated to Australia with his family in 1862 aboard the "Great Australia". They settled at Dunolly, where Philipp owned an orchard and also did some gold-mining in the area (Burnt Creek), working a reef which was apparently named after him (so I've been told). He and his wife Margaretha had 3 children - Valentin, Elizabetha m. John Berryman, and Wilhelm m. Augusta Vanselow (my G-G-Grandparents). I have details of the deaths, marriages and most of the children but would love some more background information on the family, the mining reef, or anything else. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. I am willing to share my information with anyone who may be interested. Also, in the archives (2003) I came across a message from a Robert in Seaford regarding a photo of Timor 1926. I have tried to email him but the message came back as "undelivered". If anyone knows of this Robert, or has a copy of the photo, please contact me regards this also. My grandmother was born at Timor and her family may be in the photo(I hope!). Thanking you in advance.
