Hi List The above are my Great Grand Parents who were married in Smythsdale on 2 Sept 1866. Issue included 9 sons and 3 daughters . Adolph was born in Alfen Wesflan Prussia in 1840 ,died 1906 Yarrowee St Sebastopol and is buried in old Ballarat cemetery . His Father was Antone Rosen ( Rose ) Johanna died in 1900 and is also buried in old Ballarat Cemetery. Her Parents were Johannes Van Den Berg/h and Mother Lydia Deiderika Altera ( died Smythsdale 1890 )who also married a Bernardus Philips( died Ballarat 1877 ) Would like to hear from anyone who may have knowledge of these families or has them in their own Family Tree . Lieut.Francis Crossman Doveton was first Gold Commissioner sent to Ballarat and was at Mt Alexander at the time of Eureka. However, he was doing his job when asked to collect the licences, so was part of the problem. His wife was Margaret Bostock who died in 1853 and he remarried to Annie Snell with links to CONNELL....
