In preparing a history of her Majesty's Theatre, I am interested in finding out more about George Francis Coates, who managed the theatre 1916 - 1923. He appears to have managed a touring theatre company which appeared at the Theatre earlier that year, 1916. I would like to ascertain whether or not he is the George Francis Coates born in Bendigo in 1879, son of Frankland Coates and Hannah Hynes.
