All have brickwalls, don't we? My Gr.Gr.g,father John Eddy vanished after 1850 when he gave info on death of a son, shortly after arriving in 1849. The rest of the family moved to Vic.Goldfields 1851-52? Now wondering if he spat the dummy and returned to G.B. and if so, are there any shipping lists for return trips. Have found all the wonderfull info re shipping into S.A. during the 1800's. Wonderfull stuff? Any help very welcome. Seems he only had one name, and John Eddy? hundreds in StJust. Very difficult.
