I haven't forgotten those members who have asked for a copy of my CARWARDINE information. The thing is, I have unearthed a lot more information in England and am entering it into my program. I also have a few leads to follow up (thanks Jenny!) in the SLV. The good thing is that I think I have discovered when the family first engaged in soap and candlemaking or, at least, when it is first mentioned in the records.... looks like about 1780 in the Bristol area. Since the CARWARDINES were making soap in Wangaratta and elsewhere well into the 1930-40s, as were their PETERS cousins in Dunolly, that is not a bad length of time to be engaged in the one trade. Interesting stuff. Haven't forgotten you.. just need more time to get the additional material sorted out. Trevor
