Hi Listers, Does anybody know whether Ararat Asylum was strictly for "Lunatics" or if it was also a "Benevolent Asylum" and if so, who might be admitted there? At one point it was gaol for the criminally insane. I managed to get informtion ( not she hastens to add for one of those poor thngs) through Freedom of Information.
