I have been trying to discover something about the death of ISAAC EAT in 1851 in or near Bendigo. He went to the diggings from South Australia with his wife and several children sometime in 1849/50. His death has been shrouded in mystery - It is believed he could have been murdered or killed in an accident. His wife returned to S.A. with her children (and pregnant with her 11th child) by bullock wagon. I have been unable to find any record of his death and hospitals and newspapers seem to have been non-existent at that time. Anyone have any clues as to where or how I could research this event?
