Good evening Today we were given a lead on John Loru Cawble Macfarlane, who has been a trifle elusive to say the least. The clue is that he was brought out from Scotland with others, because of his mining skills, and was in some way connected to Ballarat. He had teaching skills of some sort. The story is that one of his grandsons many years ago went to Ballarat to veiw a plarque bearing his name in recognition of something he achieved, possibly in the teaching field. We would be really pleased if there were some leads in this direction, the plarque may still be around. Regards Graham Brittain
