If anyone has the inquest CD for Victoria, could they please look up an inquest for Jack(John) O'Neil(l) Ballarat Courier Mon 7th May 1923 Killed in Sulky accident Jack O'Neill, a farmer in the Geelong district was killed last night in an accident to his sulky on Burrowa Road. He is the third member of the family who has met death in this manner. TIA Janis Donaldson
Janis tried a number of variations, Jack, John, Oneil, oneill, neil, neal, oneal with no luck. I even tried just farmer in 1923 and still no joy. There is a Henry O'Neill in Jan down to senility. A Daniel O'Neill in July Bronco Pneunomia and in 1924 there is Henry suffocated by smoke and Thomas Bolton O'Neill heart failure. Maybe try the Geelong paper of the day as well you may be able to find this through the State Library. Other than that I am puzzled why there is no inquest.
