Hello List, I have been looking for a marriage between John DUNLOP and Sarah HEALY in either 1858 or 1868 (the date is recorded on a child's birth cert and is difficult to read). I've been through the records for Vic at the NSW State Library and have also checked Vic BDMs online. The Port Phillip Pioneers Group told me that they located a marriage cert # 18361 but I've never been able to locate it. Would this possibly be a registration number fromthe Digger's Index and if so is there anyone who could look it up for me? Kind regards Maureen
Hi Maureen No DUNLOP / HEALEY marriage found on the Digger Index at all. Might be a good idea to contact the Port Phillip Pioneers Group again and ask them where they found the reference. Larraine
Sorry Maureen I forgot to add that the registration number you gave is a birth record for an Alexander DUNLOP, born Mt Doran in 1868 - father John Dunlop and mother Sarah Healey. Seems to be the correct parents. Larraine
The certificate 18361 is actually a birth registration, I can find no record of a marriage. Regards Les Pitt Digger - Pioneer Index.
