"Would this possibly be a registration number fromthe Digger's Index and if so is there anyone who could look it up for me?" Hi Maureen :) The Digger Indexes don't start that early, it would have to have come from the AVRIs. I've just searched them and couldn't find a marriage between John DUNLOP and Sarah HEALY, only John DUNLOP to Mary Burr BROWN. The reference number isn't the same so it's definitely not the one already found for you. Unfortunately, as far as I know, you can't search the AVRI by registration number. The registration number you get on both the AVRIs and the Digger Indexes is the reference number you use to order a copy of the certificate from the Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages in Melbourne. You can search their historical indexes ... http://online.justice.vic.gov.au/servlet/IdxSearch?action=getHistIdxSearchCriteria ... but you have to pay to view them. I got 7 pages of results, not sure what that means, but I'm too broke to view sorry! For future reference, you can purchase certificates here ... http://online.justice.vic.gov.au/CA256C7100199CBE/page/Births+Deaths+and+Marriages+Online+Shop-Births+Deaths+and+Marriages+Online+Shop?OpenDocument&1=0-Births+Deaths+and+Marriages+Online+Shop~&2=0-Births+Deaths+and+Marriages+Online+Shop~&3=~ Just to be "cheeky", I went through the purchase process to see if this registration DOES exist and I got an error on both 1858 and 1868, so I'm not sure where they found that one or what year it was for. Go to the purchase link above and see if it comes up when you fill in enough details, I don't think I have enough to try it myself. Take care, Rob.
