Me: There are two schools in Maryborough, 404, known as Maryborough (or the West School) to which my mother and brother went, and 2828 Maryborough East (or the East School) to which my father and I went. Both are still operating, so may have their records, but someone else will have to give you the definitive locations. I know that the genealogical group in Maryborough was collecting and naming old school photos. You've made me think of the poem about the East School which I learnt when I was there 50 years ago "In eighteen hundred and eighty six, they built in Maryborough a school of bricks. They put the windows so high in the wall, You had to stand on the desks to see out at all!" I don't remember the rest of it, but I suspect the windows were so high because when my Dad was there in the 1920's, the rooms with the high windows had galleries ( i.e. stepped classrooms). If you look in the List Archives, you may find postings on the schools you've asked about. Tom
