Hello Listers I know this is a long shot, but does a John Warkman turn up on any of the goldfields indexes that may be available? He arrived in Australia in October 1852, presumably to go to the diggings. He was an engineer by trade and came from Newcastle, Northumberland. He didn't marry until 1867 so he wouldn't have left much in the way of records in those 15 years which are unaccounted for. He married in Sandridge (Port Melbourne) and was storekeeper then superintendant of locomotives for the Melbourne and Hobson's Bay Railway until his death in 1873. Also, has anyone any suggestions where I might find info for him? Jeanette Heath
