Hey Pat. Could be such, like two days before my grandfather was born, the 1st minister came into the area on horseback & married his parents & noted the birth of the two elder brothers. As he, the minister, was still doing his "rounds" & it was still some time before he got back to "civilization" to register the births. Notebooks were either carried in pockets or saddle bags etc & in a lot of cases, the minister's mind wouldnt have been that good, that he would remember every entry he made,so a lot of his entries would have had to be checked again.
