I have come across the business of JONES & PETERS, Grocers, in Clunes. They were advertising in the Clunes 'Guardian' in the 1860s - 1870s. The PETERS name is of interest to me, and I know that one of the family was in Clunes at one time before moving on to settle in Ballarat. The idea of him being a grocer is of interest, if he is the man I suspect he might be. I think they might have been in partnership for some time because reference is also made to JONES & PETERS in the 'Talbot Leader' in April 1864, Does anyone know anything about this business and the people named? Or point me in the right direction to find out who this PETERS (of Jones and Peters) is? Trevor
