I have a record which tells me that Eliza PETERS, nee HALL, died at 1308 Dana Street, Ballarat on 8th August, 1933. I know that her husband, Walter Thomas PETERS and their daughter, Minnie, are buried in the Ballarat Old Cemetery. At least, the headstone says so, but there is no record of Eliza on the headstone. I have a couple of questions: 1. How would I find a burial record (short of getting a certificate) for Eliza in 1933? (Guess I know that the answer will be, "Get the certificate!" but is there any other source?) 2. What directories should I be looking at to track the above Eliza PETERS in the years between her husband's death in 1902, and her own death in 1933? All her children, apart from Minnie above, and her youngest, Owen, who died in WW1 in 1916, were in W.A. when she died. TIA Trevor
Hi Trevor, On the Ballarat Cemetaries Index there is a listing for an Eliza Peters buried Ballarat Old Cemetary 10 August 1933 aged 85. Unfortunately the index doesn't give grave details.
