Hi Rob, I think the reason that the wife was probably not on the head stone is that it looks like the kind of headstone provided by and paid for by the military. They did this for returned soldiers, but not for their wives. Given that it was around the start of the depression, it maybe that the family did not have the money to put up a headstone for her, but that they were able to get the military to put up one for him. The military will not include otheres burried in the same grave on the headstones. Penelope
