Sheelagh If you are looking for historical certificates in Vic you can order and immediately download them to your computer, (no more waiting weeks for the postie) http://www.dvc.vic.gov.au/bdm.htm just go to Registry of BMDs. As for inquest you need to go to Public Records office. http://www.prov.vic.gov.au/default.asp if you do not have the number I have the index but you may need to order before going there or see if there is someone who can pick it up for you.
