Hello again list, This one is tricky, I am looking for a publican named Alfred CLAYTON who supposedly had a child named Vincent Theodore Clayton c 1893 near Geelong. Trouble is , this Vincent Theordore Clayton doesn't appear on the Vic indicies - nor anything even closely related to him. Vincent Theordore died in SA in 1920 with TB. I have his death certificate. The info we have re Vincent Theordore Clayton comes from his WW1 record at the national archives Australia and also his marriage record in England in 1819 whilst serving withe the AIF. I am wondering if : 1. Could there be unregisterd birthes in or about Geelong in the mid 1890s? 2. How would I go about finding info about his father, Alfred Clayton, the supposed publican? I see that PROV has some early licencing liquour records but I think they are too early for my man. Any help greatly apprecicated. Regards, Maree in Adelaide
