    3. Hi Mary, Margaret, Tina & Kevin The Carisbrook Timeline History book has 60 pages with neally 60 photographs, references and an index. Most of the information in the book has been transcribed, copied or digitally recorded at the PROV over the last 25 years. Some of the shorter entries in the book as follows: enjoy Elaine 1851 Courthouse for Petty Sessions cases erected by John Ryan at a cost of 50 Pounds. Bench of Magistrates formed. 1852 The first Mass celebrated by Father Henry Backhaus. 1854 Hector Norman Simson constructed the first bridge. A small toll was charged for repair of fences and the bridge. 1857 Petition praying that the District of Carisbrook may be declared a Municipal District. 1858 13 February: The design for the Common Seal of the Council approved and in the hands of the engraver. 1880 9 April: The first meeting to form a foolball club at Carisbrook was held at the Nag's Head Hotel. 1881 15 June: The Carisbrook Football Club formed. Dave Williams Secretary, Early matches were played in the Botanic Reserve. 1913 The School closed and thoroughly disinfected due to the diphtheria outbreak. 1919 The School closed for three weeks due to Influenza epidemic.
