Hi all, Hoping the collective wisdom of the group can help find a death for Matthew Franklin. A hand written note from his sister in law says 'Matthew goldfields Tarrengower about 1859'. Another letter written in response to an advert in the Warcry states he went there in '56 and wasn't heard from again. To try to locate his death, what towns would I be looking for? I'm not sure where the Tarrengower goldfields were. He had previously ran a butcher shop in Elizabeth Street Melbourne with his brother John Franklin. Any further info on that also appreciated. Thanks for taking the time. Sue
