    3. Lillian, I have all Adams records for Victoria extracted to a file and here are all the records I can find for the family (hopefully the table comes out). There is no death record for an Edwin where the age matches or is even close to his date of birth. Database Surname Given Names Event Sex Spouse Surname/Father Spouse Gvn Names/Mother Age Birth Place Death Place Year Victorian Pioneers Index ADAMS Mary Ann B Thos Sarah Elizth WESTICOTT DFORD 1869 Victorian Pioneers Index ADAMS Edwin B Thomas Sarah E WESTICOTT DAYL 1886 Victorian Pioneers Index ADAMS Alfred Ernest B Thomas Sarah Elizabeth WESTICOTT DAYL 1872 Victorian Pioneers Index ADAMS William Thomas B Thomas Sarah Elizabeth WESTICOTT DFORD 1874 Victorian Pioneers Index ADAMS James B Thomas Sarah Elizabeth WESTICOTT DA YL 1878 Victorian Pioneers Index ADAMS Chas Saml B Thos Sarah Elizth WESTICOTT D FORD 1880 Federation Index ADAMS Joseph B M Thos Sarah Elizth WESTICOTT DAYLESFORD 1889 Federation Index ADAMS Jno Hy B M Thos Sarah Elizth WESTICOTT DAYLESFORD 1891 Victorian Pioneers Index ADAMS Samuel Thomas B Thomas Sarah WESTICOTT DAYL 1870 Victorian Pioneers Index ADAMS George Herbert B Thomas Sarah WESTICOTT DAYL 1883 Victorian Pioneers Index ADAMS Thomas M WESTICOTT Sarah Elizabeth TASMANIA 1868 Federation Index ADAMS Sarah Snart Elizth D F Westicott Saml Ellen WALSH 47 Dford 1895 Edwardian Index ADAMS Thos D Unknown Unknown UNKNOWN 70 Dford 1904 Victoria Death Index 1921-1985 SARTORI Mary Ann D Adams Thos Sarah Ann WESTICOTT 65 DFORD 1936 Both parents died in Daylesford so you would expect the family to have stayed around but Mary Ann is the only child appearing in the Victorian Indexes after the births. I searched the national archives http://www.naa.gov.au/collection/recordsearch/index.aspx and found that for the war records of James & Charles Samuel, they both listed next of kin as Alfred Ernest ADAMS in WA so it might be worth looking to Western Australia for records of Edwin. Maybe he had died before they enlisted as being the oldest brother you would think that he might have been listed as next of kin.
