    1. Re: John Kelsall BROWN
    2. Hi Chris Many thanks for that information. I was thinking that Graham Road might have been a place where he was staying, especially as the death took place on New Years Eve 1921, although the newspaper article suggests he was alone and "at home" which I took to be his home, but could well have been someone else's. Your explanation of the Electoral Roll still containing his name in 1924 makes sense. I have checked online and on Ancestry for the directory you suggest, but cannot find anything as recent as the 1920's. Thanks again. Lynne John Kelsall BROWN was certainly born in 1875 with parents as you indicated. I'm guessing but I would suggest the Graham Road address could have been a hospital or relative's place where he actually died and that Anderson Street was where he normally lived. The fact that he was still on the electoral roll after his death is that the removal of a relatives name from the electoral roll is not exactly a high priority of the family after a death. It isn't now and I would suggest it wasn't then. The difference in 40 and 46 is easily explained by handwriting or a transcription error somewhere along the line. If you look in Sands & Macs Directory see what you can find in the Highett address Regards, Chris
