Seems like a longshot posting this request here? If the Sartoris are connected to Daylesford then may I suggest you take a trip to Daylesford - a pretty little town - sadly gentrified? is yuppyfied or antiquified latte creating the wrong impression? and a little expensive these days??? - but still very easy to imagine what the place must have been like a 100 - 130 or so years ago ...and well worth the effort of getting there .. short drive from Melbourne anyhow - when you get to Daylesford - find the museum - if it is still going? - they may have photographs of various family members .. they did have pics of my wife's grt.grandparents - so I imagine they may have Sartoris as well? I've changed the heading to more accurately reflect the request - and I believe there is a very helpful and probably very busy SKS and occasional reader of this site - Clare Gervasoni - very helpful when it comes to Daylesford and nearby Hepburn Springs - and may have some now distant connection to the SARTORIs - SARTORIs and GERVASONNIs at some stage married each other in the Daylesford region??? so you never know your luck .. FWIW - try getting the family tree organised and locate distant living relatives - they may have pictures in their albums that may assist you ... from what I've seen in my own family research - old photographs have a better chance of surviving if they fall into the hands of the female lines - so follow the daughters if you can - and to take your mind off the whole damn problem - get hold of a guaranteed feel good movie - out on DVD for some time now - filmed in and around the Hepburn Springs Daylesford district - Jan Sardi's romance - *Love's brother *- starring the brilliant Giovanni Ribisi, Adam Garcia, Amelia Warner - the story of 2 brothers finding their Italian wives in rural Australia - good luck Robert in Melbourne lillian wrote: > Still hoping sks will send me copies of photgraphs from the following families...
