They may or may not have mentioned there were several newspapers which may have information you seek. There are microfilms in the State Library of Victoria in Melbourne, but perhaps you are interstate. The relevant ones would be: - Majorca News, April 1863 to Jan 1864 is on film - Talbot Leader (formerly North-West Chronicle) from Sept 1860 onwards - Maryborough and Dunolly Advertiser, 1857 onwards Hope this may be of some small help.
