    3. Elizabeth recommended to try TROVE - as she believed the Maryborough and Dunolly Advertiser newspaper records are there. I have checked, they are not there ( http://www.nla.gov.au/ndp/selected_newspapers/ ) and unfortunately not on the candidate list for digitization. I have contacted Trove with the suggestion that MADA be included as a candidate for digitisation. For Victoria the coverage we rely on is The Argus - and certainly it should be the primary title and has a lot of country news. Otherwise there is not much for Victoria considering the plethora of titles: - Argus* 1846 – 1954 - Illustrated Australian News 1867 – 1896 - Camperdown Chronicle [contributed title] 1877 - 1954 - Portland Guardian* [contributed title] 1842 - 1953 - Gippsland Times [contributed title] 1861 - 1954 - The Australasian Sketcher with Pen and Pencil 1873 – 1889 I would still recommend Trove as it is surprising where you find goldfields mentions - articles on the Lamplough rushes are in the Maitland Mercury (NSW) for example. I haven't found anything useful for Sarah Tacey and Amherst on Trove though :-( Regards Anne
