Just to explain the muddle - Original post was requesting information on Rose Myers, died 1969 - poster was not sure if Myers was her married name or not. Rose Myers was buried at Fawkner, sharing a plot with Louisa Trewalla and Alice Lucy Gibaud - so I made the assumption that they were related and went looking for confirmation - births, deaths, marriages. So .. Edward Cambrey married Louisa Edwards 1872 Victoria - I made a mistake in my reply and typed in his name as Alfred (but he shows up as Alfred elsewhere ??), and not Edward. Thank you for pointing that out. Children born to Edward/Edwin and Louisa/Louise - Florence Catherine, (1873) Albert Edward (1873), Louisa Marian (1875) Lilian (1877), Maud Mary (1878), Violet Beatrice (1880) No Rose listed - was she not registered, or changed her name, or whatever ?? Alice Lucy Cambry was registered 1891 (I put born on my posting - wasn't connecting with the dates), Hotham, only Mother Louisa listed. According to ancestry's record, Alice Lucy, who died 1976, aged 84, was the daughter of *Alfred* Trewhella & Louise Edwards. Her age would make her birth year about 1892. As I said, the years didn't twig, and I took it that Lucy Alice/and Alice Lucy were one and the same. But looking over it again, it looks as though Alice Lucy Cambry was born to Louisa (presumably Marion) Cambry in 1891, but prior to her marriage to Charles Alfred Trewalla in the same year. Louisa Marion Cambry married Chas Alf Trewalla 1891 (Marion Lucy on marriage registration) Alice Lucy Trewalla married Hy Jas Gidaud 1909 As far as Alice Cambry-Trewhella-Gibaud's death registration is concerned, it looks as though the Informant made a mistake and confused the mother's name (Cambry) with the grandmother's (Edwards). So the Fawkner plot contains the remains of a mother (Louisa), her daughter (Alice Lucy) and Rose. I can't find a marriage for Rose. Perhaps someone else can. Rose's death registration gives her parents as Alfred Cambry and Louisa Edwards and her birth about 1883. There's Alfred again! Rose can't possibly be the child of Louisa Marion Cambry-Trewhella - she would only have been 8 in 1883. Either Edward/Edwin was known as Alfred, or there was a belief amongst the descendents that Alfred was his name, or they just stuffed up (like I do at times). [Having had to sort out quite a few muddles in my own family history created by misinformed informants, I have typed up all the relevant information on myself so my offspring can just hand it over for my death registration. If anyone is interested at some future time, at least that bit will be correct.] Cheers Barbara
