Hi List, Not exactly Victorian Goldfields, but I know there are some fabulous, knowledgeable people on this List, who have extensive experience to share. My grandmother, Lillian May HOLLIDAY married in Lambeth in 1918 and then came to Melbourne on a 'troop ship' with her soldier husband, William Thomas Edward HOLLIDAY. He was a member of the AIF who had gone to Gallipoli in 1915, but was originally from Plumstead, UK. I have been looking for their date of departure/arrival and the ship that carried them to Australia. No luck! Can't find them anywhere and I know they didn't swim! Was just thinking that it was probably a military ship and may not show up on the ordinary Passenger Lists. Any thoughts, anyone? Cheers!........Judy Perth W.Australia
