Hi List, Thanks to so many people who have been happy to put on their thinking caps and help me with my search. I know this is a very helpful List for all things 'Goldfields' but wouldn't have anticipated so many people coming forward with advice on this topic. My next step will be to get in touch with the Dept. for Veteran Affairs and see what they have to offer. I rather suspect though that medical records stay 'closed' for more than the fifty years I had anticipated. I shall press on, but think that although the topic might be of general interest, this forum is possibly not the place to pursue it further on-line. The List-owner might start rapping knuckles! Hi Judy and listers, I hope you don't get that rap over the knuckles as I have found the emails interesting. Many of the brave volunteers came from the goldfields area, so we probably all have wondered about their records at some time. Although the records aren't held in the goldfields area, many of them relate to goldfields men (and women).
