Hi List, I have just returned from a lovely trip to Victoria where I spent some time in Elmore. While out at the Corop Cemetery visiting my g.g.grandparents I was horrified to find that some idiot had splashed pink primer paint over some of the gravestones. The next day, a working bee was valiantly trying to remove the damage, but with minimal success. Now back home, I am still thinking about it and wondering if they have managed to clean the mess. Anyone know? Volunteers look after this little cemetery out in the bush, and it is always a tranquil place to stop, wander and reflect on those pioneers lying there in peace. The graves of my g.g.grandparents, Jane and James McKENZIE and my g.aunty 'Tott' - Jane Elizabeth WILLIAMS have not been vandalised, but if they had, I wouldn't know about it and that makes me sad.
